Giclée (pronounced 'zhee · clay') french for "to spray," giclée is the term commonly used for what is currently the most advanced digital fine art printmaking technology. After the original illustration is scanned into a computer, artists skillfully perfect the colors. The digitally recreated artwork is printed with archival quality inks onto museum-quality, acid-free paper or canvas with an enhanced printer which is specially modified for fine art reproduction. It is then sealed with a UV protective coating and may be embellished by the artist.
Selected paintings are available in Giclée reproductions on canvas or museum-quality, acid-free paper, which is double matted, signed by the artist, and enclosed in clear acid-free bags. Giclées are signed and numbered limited editions and include a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist.
